What we watch
QuoteRoster covers eight contractor classes: C-10 Electrical, C-20 HVAC, C-36 Plumbing, C-39 Roofing, C-8 Concrete, D-49 Tree service, C-27 Landscaping, and C-33 Painting. We watch new licenses, status changes, workers’ compensation dates, bond dates, and business contact changes.
Every result carries the record date. Verify the current California license record before using a change as call context.
For Washington, the public research view covers the same eight product trades statewide. It groups active registrations effective in the prior 30 days, liability policies effective in the prior 30 days, and policies expiring in the next 90 days. Those baseline dates are current source facts, not detected changes.
What a match means
A match gives a producer a current reason to research an account. It never means the contractor asked for insurance, lacks coverage, or agreed to be contacted.
If a field cannot be compared cleanly, no alert is sent.
Private matches and Search
These customer operations currently apply to California only. Washington has no contact reveals, Search, private-review window, exclusivity, or checkout while its forward diffs are under review.
A new match goes to one agency for a 24-hour private review. A contact reveal opens the contractor name, public contact details, exact change, and available history. It also starts 7-day agency exclusivity. Passed matches may rotate to another eligible agency. Search only receives older changes after every private hold clears.
Every plan searches the same eligible archive for up to 12 months. Private matches and active exclusivities stay out of Search until they clear.
During the final 48 hours of exclusivity, the agency may extend a revealed contractor once by 7 days. Producer includes one extension each billing month and Agency includes three. After those are used, a different eligible revealed contractor can be extended for $9.
Freshness and corrections
When an update is late or fails a check, QuoteRoster keeps the last accepted data on screen and marks it delayed or stale.
California and Washington source checks, state, and health fail independently. Washington uses the older publication time from its paired registration and liability tables and rejects excessive publication skew.
